Welcome to Merricks North Tiny House, a luxury off-grid home in the heart of the Mornington Peninsula, Victoria's picturesque coastal wine region. Get away from it all in a stunning rural setting where large windows reveal beautiful surrounds.
Located in the heart of the Mornington Peninsula, this off-grid Tiny House offers an affordable weekend escape from the city. Perfectly located just 60 minutes from the city, The Merricks North Tiny House offers a quiet retreat so you can relax with nothing but green grass around you.
Capable of sleeping 2 people, The Merricks North Tiny House offers a 2-acre paddock facing south towards towering pine trees. Relax on the couch downstairs in the summer months with a book in hand or learn a new card game. In winter, climb the ladder upstairs to the second loft and watch a movie from the comfort of the warmer mezzanine level. The Tiny House has a split system with air conditioning for warmer months that serves as a heater in cooler months. Powered completely from solar panels on the roof, this eco-friendly Tiny House is the perfect destination for those who want to protect the place we all call home.
The owner firmly believes in a good nights' sleep. The Queen-sized bed has a mattress from Koala with sheets by Inbed and The Sheet Society. Plus, a remote-controlled retractable skylight blind lets you watch the stars at night or let the sun shine during the day.
Being on the Mornington Peninsula means you have an endless list of nearby restaurants, take-away options and of course, over 50 wineries with cellar doors. Balnarring is the nearest township (5-minute drive) with two bottle-shops, multiple take-away options, a large IGA supermarket and multiple cafes.
If you feel like cooking, the Tiny House has a full-sized fridge and freezer, full-sized oven, microwave and a dual-burner gas stove with all kitchen amenities so you can enjoy a meal on the spacious deck or a cheese board out in the French Courtyard. When the weather allows, enjoy an outdoor fire with our complimentary fire-pit (non-restricted times only) surrounded by veggie boxes and mother nature.
Please note, this Tiny House is off-grid. Excessive consumption of appliances may cause the power to run out for a short period of time. The toilet is composting so please do not use it for anything other than what we are supposed to do.

Merricks North is centrally located in the heart of the Mornington Peninsula, sandwiched between two bays, an hour south of Melbourne. Merricks North borders Red Hill, a wine region renowned for quality Pinot Noir and Chardonnay varieties. The Peninsula itself is home to more than 200 wineries and 50 cellar doors. The area has long been a getaway destination, famed for wines, artisanal food, beaches and coastal living. Everywhere you venture, you will find kitchen gardens, seasonal menus, stunning vistas and exciting activities including The Peninsula Hot Springs, golf courses, surf breaks, galleries, indoor/outdoor cinemas and more.
Merricks North is at the centre of this, just minutes away from the charming village of Balnarring. Here you will find a supermarket, cafes, shops and restaurants. Further down the road are the rugged beaches of Merricks, Pt Leo and Flinders, where you can enjoy long walks, swimming, fishing and surfing.
For golfers, Flinders Golf Course is the top public course in the area, with expansive views over Bass Strait. Serious golfers can't go past The National and Moonah Links, both private clubs not far away (tee times can be arranged). Neighbouring Merricks are the popular suburbs of Flinders, Red Hill, Main Ridge and Shoreham, where you will stumble upon gorgeous cafes, food stores, cellar doors and world-class wineries; Montalto, Port Phillip Estate, Red Hill Estate, Ten Minutes by Tractor and Pt Leo Estate and many others, are all under 10-minutes’ drive away. The newest is popular Jackalope, just one minute away, and offers three fabulous venues - the down-to-earth food and wine store Rare Hare, the fine-dining restaurant Doot Doot Doot and the flashy cocktail bar, Flaggerdoot.
You will be spoilt for choice.
